P. D. Hinduja Hospital is the second hospital in the city to receive the NABH accreditation
National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organisations. The board is structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry. The board while being supported by all stakeholders including industry, consumers, government, has full functional autonomy in its operation.
Patient's rights are safeguarded by regular evaluation of patient satisfaction.
The Accreditation will help P. D. Hinduja Hospital to benchmark with International quality providing world-class quality services to its patients.
The process of accreditation though voluntary, is considered an important benchmark of quality and safety for insurers and patients for any healthcare organisation Accreditation follows a rigorous process stretching over a period of six months, during which, almost 513 measurable elements related to the care of patients, management of the hospital, training and education of staff and the continuum of care are tracked and optimised. It involves training, audits (both internal and external) and process optimisation. We now compete with global benchmarks. Accreditation to the hospital translates in continuous improvement and this will help us demonstrate our commitment to quality care.
International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) has accredited 'Standard for Hospitals' developed by NABH which authenticates that NABH standards are in consonance with global benchmarks set by ISQua.
Following closely the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj Award and the CAP (College of American Pathologists) accreditation for quality, P. D. Hinduja Hospital has achieved another milestone in its endeavour to provide "Accreditation"
