Educational Qualification: - In 1974 B.Sc. with first class Honors from Univ.of Bombay. Principal - Zoology, Subsidiary - Botany.
- In 1976 M.Sc. with second class Honors from Univ. of Bombay, Principal - Zoology Major - Animal Physiology.
- In 1981 Ph.D. in Science - Applied Biology (Cardiac Biochemistry) from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Bombay and Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Bombay. Thesis entitled “Taurine regulation in cardiachypertrophy”. Thesis advisor Prof. Dr. K.G.Nair.
Additional Qualification: - 1989 – Assoc. Fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (FACB), U.S.A.
- 1991 – Clinical Chemists Recognition Award (CCRA) awarded in the ACCENT program (accredited) for demonstration of professional development through continuing education in clinical chemistry by American Association of Clinical Chemistry.
- 2004 - 2005 – Completed Professional Diploma in Clinical Trials Research by ICRI.
- 2006 – Completed PG Diploma in Business Administration (Finance Management) at Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning, (SCDL) Pune.
- 2007 – Completed a course in GCP & GLP by Institute of clinical research (India)
- 2009 – Awarded status of Chartered Scientist (CSci) by the Science Council of United Kingdom, ( Reg.no. ACB/120/003181).
