YOUR MEALS

The hospital kitchen is completely equipped to serve well balanced vegetarian meals. Special diet, as advised by your doctor, will be prepared at no extra cost. All meals are planned and their preparation supervised by trained and competent dietitians. Please do not get any food from outside or leave cooked food in the cabinets, as this attracts pests.

YOUR AMUSEMENT

Three channels are available to choose from and you can listen to music from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. Television sets are tuned to receive various satellite channels. Please do not attempt to change the tuning. The satellite channels are available between 7.30 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.

YOUR WELL BEING

We try and maintain an atmosphere of absolute cleanliness and tranquillity for your speedy recovery. A clean and hygienic environment is essential for the well being of our patients, and our team of trained personnel strive to maintain this. Our efforts need to be supplemented by you and by your visitors.

It is important, therefore, that you and your visitors strictly observe the following rules in the interest of your well being:

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the hospital.

DRINKING

Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited, in the hospital.

VISITORS

Your patient requires rest. Please restrict your visitors to the absolute minimum. Visitors and visiting hours are restricted. Only one visitor's pass is issued per patient at the time of admission. Children under ten years of age should not be brought into patient's room or wards in the interest of their own health and as they tend to disturb the patients. Visitors are strictly restricted in the Critical Care Units.

TIME TO GO HOME

The consultant in charge will decide when it is advisable for you to leave the hospital. In most cases, he will be able to discuss your discharge with you a day in advance. Make sure you have a discharge card with you, along with a summary of your case, before you leave.

This will enable you and your family doctor to follow-up your treatment at home. Investigations Reports will be given to you at the time of discharge. If some investigations have not been reported, these reports may kindly be collected between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all working days including saturdays from Out Patient Department(OPD) reception. (building opposite hospital main building).

It is important that you arrange to leave by the discharge time, so that we can prepare the bed and the room for new arrivals. If you are unable to leave by the morning discharge time, bed charges for the day will be added to your bill. We request you to follow a few procedures when you check out of the Hospital.
