‘Serve with Passion’ Rural Health program

Overview

P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, since its inception in 1951, has been living the philosophy of its founder, Shri P. D. Hinduja, of providing quality healthcare for all. Shri P. D. Hinduja strongly believed that health and education are the birth right of every individual. In line with this belief, 'Live to Give Hope', a benevolent fund, was started in the name of Smt. Lalita G Hinduja to benefit needy patients in all ways. The LGH fund also supports the "Serve with Passion" rural health program and provides medical and financial assistance at the hospital.

P. D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC under its 'Live to Give Hope' initiative launched the 'Serve with Passion' Rural Health Program in September 2011 to mark the 75th birthday of our Chairman, Shri. S. P. Hinduja, and also to commemorate 60 years of the hospital. The service was initiated to reach out to the marginalized and underprivileged population of the country. Today, the program provides healthcare services to 1 lakh people located about 170 kilometers from Mumbai in areas such as Jawhar Taluka of Palghar District (Maharashtra).
