Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan is a full time consultant surgeon in Hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery ,liver transplantation and GI oncology at Hinduja hospital.
Prior to joining Hinduja hospital , he was a consultant HPB &GI oncosurgeon at Bombay hospital for 4 years. He has performed many complex resections for liver and pancreatic cancers including vascular resections. His surgical outcomes in HPB surgery are on par with international standards with mortality of less than 1% and morbidity of less than 10-15%.
He has also performed a large number of surgeries for portal hypertension, bile duct injuries , stomach and colorectal malignancies during his stint there.
Dr. Nagarajan completed his undergraduate training from Seth GS medical college and post graduate training in general surgery from LTMMC Sion. He then trained in the prestigious Tata memorial hospital as Senior registrar for four years in surgical oncology.
He then completed his one year Fellowship in HPB and liver transplantation at hospital Beaujon in Paris with one of the world renowned liver surgeons- Prof Jacques Belghiti. This is one of the worlds busiest liver units doing more than 300 resections and 150 transplants each year.
Dr. Nagarajan has also authored many international publications on liver and pancreatic surgery and been an invited faculty at national and international scientific meetings and conferences.
